Build Your Own Graphic Novel with Edward Ross

HarperCollins Children’s publishing is delighted to offer primary schools and libraries the opportunity to host an event with Edward Ross, comic writer and artist living in Scotland. Edward has been making comics since childhood, and today makes comics and graphic novels that make complex ideas easy to understand and fun to engage with. He enjoys running workshops in schools and libraries, encouraging young people to get involved in the fun of comic creation. He’s the creator of Filmish: A Graphic Journey Through Film and its follow-up Gamish: A Graphic History of Gaming.

THE EVENT

Children will get started creating their own graphic novel, learn top tips for designing memorable characters, create the fantastic worlds they live in, and come up with stories they’ll love to tell.

Author cost will be covered in return for you organising and facilitating book sales and providing any materials required for activities. This opportunity is available for schools in the UK.

Suggested age group for visit: 7+

Edward is available for events throughout Scotland and is available as follows

November and December: Mondays / Wednesdays / Thursdays.
