A moving, lyrical picture book about a young girl’s love for her granddad and how she copes when he’s gone, written by multi-award winning poet and Waterstones Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho. This beautifully illustrated, powerful and ultimately uplifting text is the ideal way to introduce children to the concept of death and dying, particularly children who have lost a grandparent. With Allison Colpoys’ gorgeous artwork spilling from each page, accompany a girl and her grandad over spring, summer and autumn. See how he teaches her to imagine, to create, and to enjoy the small things in life, and how, when winter comes, he lives on in her heart. The perfect way into talking about a difficult subject with children, showing that sadness is as necessary to happiness as winter is to spring. If All the World Were… is a soothing, reassuring approach to loss and how to live without someone you loved, and a beautiful story, beautifully told.
I liked the bright & colourful illustrations & that she had a rainbow pencil but unfortunately I did not like the story because it was much too sad for me :(
Colourful and sweet but a bit sad. I loved the Grandad and the animals.
It was good as it went through the seasons and what they did through them.
Beautiful story to help understand the loss of a loved one and how they live in our memories.
The Grandad Because He was so Kind And He Gave A Picture.

Liked it but it's a bit sad and made me think of grandad.
It was very colourful and I liked the story
Personally I can really relate to this story as I have a strong connection with one of my grandparents.
I would recommend this book because it is a poetic picture book about the love between a little girl and her grandad, and how, through memories, love can live on.
I love springtime
There’s a sad part of the story I love the pictures. I would recommend this book.
This is a nice book for everybody
Fiction because it tells stories about information. The book was about seasons and happy things. No sad things. The girl loves her grandad and birthday and likes to hug.
