Films
Listening to peers talking about their experience is a persuasive way to encourage young people to take part. We have a selection of short films, including a fun promotional film which you can embed or share on your websites and social media.
This collection of films staring Comedian Holly Walsh explores the skills that volunteers can gain through volunteering:
There are more films you can use elsewhere on our website.
Resources for Schools
You might consider approaching your local school about volunteers who are interested in advocating for the Challenge in their local feeder primaries. Volunteers would need to shadow staff in the first instance and feel fully supported.
You can use the below materials to approach schools about this advocacy role:

Welsh template letter for Headteachers
- Template letter for coordinators

Sending local schools an advert to place in their newsletters can be an effective way of letting students and parents know about volunteering opportunities. Here is an example advert from Essex libraries.
Presentation for school and library plasma screen
This presentation can be used on library plasma screens to promote volunteering. You can add your local details, as needed.
