Reading Activists at Asia House

Hot off the press - Online magazine Rising Sun showcases journalistic talent of Reading Activists young reporters!
Asia House recently celebrated its Festival of Asian Literature with two weeks' worth of author talks, debates, anime workshops and samurai fun. Reading Activist volunteers were on hand to act as the festival's official Young Reporters.
The Young Reporters received expert journalism training, attended Asia-themed workshops and produced their own magazine about the festival, Rising Sun. Here they are, hard at work:
The reporters, Oluwani, Stevie, Maddie, Prince, Sophie, Sophia, and Khalef, began their day with some brainstorming and discussions about what makes a good journalist. Next came some interview practice, a samurai workshop with YA author and ninja Chris Bradford and a chance to interview some fascinating personalities:
