Filming on location with Holly Walsh

We've been on a mission to create some short films about volunteering and the skills you can gain from taking part. We teamed up with Verdant Films, comedian and comedy writer Holly Walsh and a host of young volunteers to shoot the films on location at the Ideas Store, Whitechapel.
Young volunteers came from the surrounding areas to take part and we were also joined by a Reading Activist group from Kent. It was a fantastic opportunity for young people to meet and work alongside Holly Walsh and get first hand experience of what happens on a film set!
Young people took part in every aspect of the filming process, from reading through scripts and acting out scenes beforehand to being filmed, using the clapperboard and watching footage back for mistakes. It was also a great opportunity for young people to share their experiences of volunteering with each other.

The films will be available in June.
