Rebecca Rouillard's Window on the World

For this year’s Teachers’ Reading Challenge we are exploring ‘Diverse Realities’ and have asked expert educators to give us their recommendations on topics within that theme.

Rebecca has given us a really exciting, inspiring list of new fiction, graphic novels and memoir, ranging from middle grade into early key stage three, which span that key primary-secondary transition age wonderfully.

This is a truly diverse list which explores different cultures, stories and mythologies, from the fantastical to the more grounded in reality- there will be something for everyone here. If you are looking for your next #TeachersReadingChallenge book, hopefully you can find something to inspire you….

Rebecca Rouillard is a school librarian for Kingston Educational Trust, as well as a member of the organising team for the Spark! School Book Awards and book reviewer for The School Librarian magazine.
