Evaluation is crucial to help us understand, measure and report the impact that Reading Hack has on young people and delivery partners.
Please read this evaluation guide for more information about completing the Reading Hack evaluation surveys.
- Participating library authorities will be asked to fill in an annual survey (every February) summarising participation data across the library sites in their area.
- Individual library sites running Reading Hack (and schools, youth centres etc – collectively referred to as ‘delivery partners’) will be asked to complete a baseline survey before any Reading Hack training or activity takes place (or as close to the start of Reading Hack as possible) and an annual survey (every February) repeating the same questions to track any impacts on the library from taking part.
- Young people will complete a survey when they start taking part in Reading Hack, and complete the same survey in September and February each year. This will help us find out the impacts of Reading Hack on individuals taking part.
More information for libraries can be found in the evaluation guide.
