Children’s librarians and teachers are invited to meet Ash Bond the author of the electrifying middle-grade debut Peregrine Quinn and the Cosmic Realm in this special pre-publication event as she introduces you to the action-packed cosmic world of Peregrine Quinn.

Fizzing with humour and full of characters you will adore from a heroic portal-guarding trainee dryad librarian, a holographic faun, Olympic Gods, beautiful UK landmarks (including the Bodleian Library and Kew Gardens), powerful plants and a sassy duck!

Peregrine Quinn and the Cosmic Realm has been described as ‘Neil Gaiman meets Eoin Colfer. Completely addictive, compelling and exploding with adventure’ and has been receiving lots of praise:

‘An electrifying read – full of fast-paced action, endless fun and fearless imagination.’

A.F. STEADMAN

‘Mythology with a modern makeover – Peregrine Quinn’s battle to save the cosmic realm is an epic adventure!’

MAZ EVANS

‘This debut just sings with excitement – a boldly imagined world bursting with myth and magic.’

JASBINDER BILAN

Ash has cleverly put a bold and wildly inventive new spin on the classical myths, where the world of Greek heroes has been transformed under the control of Olympus Inc. and melded with contemporary and invented technology, known as CosTech. It’s up to Peregrine Quinn, our main heroine along with her friends which she finds along the way to save not only her kidnapped godfather, Daedalus but also fix the portal connecting the different realms before an ancient evil rises and chaos takes over. It will keep you gripped right through to its dramatic finale.

Ash Bond is the middle-grade debut to watch for 2024 and Ash will talk about her journey into becoming a published author, having worked in many jobs before writing from a former Waterstones children’s bookseller, to teaching yoga and teaching classics in the lecture hall. There will be time for Q&As.

The first 10 attendees receive a special limited proof to read before the event.

You can pre-order a copy from Bookshop.org where your purchase will contribute to The Reading Agency’s work and independent bookshops at no extra cost.

About Ash Bond
Ash Bond writes magical stories that have classical myth sprinkled through them like fairy dust. She is now studying for her PhD, focusing on the relationship between mythology and landscape, at the University of Bristol. When not reading about myths, Ash is also a yoga teacher and loves to move – insisting she gets her best ideas when swimming in rivers, stomping up mountains or doing cartwheels. @ashbwrites
