The Reading Agency invites book groups and libraries to join us for a nationwide virtual event with bestselling author Matt Haig, where he will read from his latest book, currently sitting atop the fiction book charts, The Midnight Library. The event will take place via Zoom from 7-8pm on Thursday 8 October 2020.
Matt will appear in conversation with The Reading Agency's co-founder and creative director, Debbie Hicks, to discuss the book's powerful message of hope and why we must protect our libraries at all costs. We will also be asking Matt questions put forward by the audience! Read on to find out how to get involved and win a bundle of Matt Haig titles.
We will be speaking to Matt, aptly, during Libraries Week (5-10 October). This year we have seen libraries play a vital role during lockdown to support the nation to get reading, providing comfort, companionship, and escapism in challenging times, much like in The Midnight Library. We want to recognise and celebrate this while also highlighting the importance of the physical library space and the key role libraries play at the heart of their community.
