Digital Skills Sharing Showcase: Halton and Lancashire
The Digital Skill Sharing programme paired Halton Libraries and Lancashire Libraries with publishers Faber and Faber and Raintree.
Here, Silvia Novak from Faber and Faber and Jane Mathieson from Time to Read, showcase their project - Reading Families - which encourages families to use digital media to share their love of reading with each other, other library users and the digital world beyond.
In this showcase video the team share their experience of recruiting families to participate in the project, developing digital skills among librarians and library users, as well as future plans to extend the project and disseminate their experience via a regional digital event for librarians.
This showcase was filmed at the wrap event for the Digital Skills Sharing Project on January 17 2013. The other five projects showcased on the day were: Nottinghamshire, Triborough, South Tyneside, Leeds and Wakefield, and Gloucestershire
