Are you ready yet-i for the Winter Mini Challenge 2018?

The Winter Mini Challenge encourages children to keep reading through those cold, winter holidays.
This year we are thrilled to be joining forces with our publisher partner Nosy Crow to run a very special and seasonal There's A Yeti In The Playground themed Mini Challenge.
There's A Yeti In The Playground is filled with laugh-out-loud fun from Blue Peter Award winners Pamela Butchart and Thomas Flintham and we can't wait for children to join in with all the Yeti fun!Pamela says:
"SNOW-M-G.! There's a Yeti in the Playground is the theme of this year's Winter Mini Challenge! I'm going to make myself a hot chocolate, put on my HAIRIEST COAT and read THREE new books this Winter (and I hope you'll join me!). Bring on the SNOW!"
What's the book about?
Izzy and friends are excited! The snow is falling fast and they're hoping they'll all be sent home early. But then they hear weird noises in the playground, and find a big footprint in the snow... And that's when they know! There's a YETI in the playground and it's HUNGRY!
You can find out more about There's A Yeti In The Playground on the Nosy Crow website.
How can children take part in the Winter Mini Challenge?
The Winter Mini Challenge is run through our year-round children's website
To take part, children simply read three books of their choice over the winter holidays, then add each book to their Winter Reading Challenge website profile and leave a short book review.
Rating and reviewing three books online over the winter holidays will unlock a virtual badge and a special There's A Yeti In The Playground certificate to print off and keep.
The Winter Mini Challenge starts on Saturday 1 December 2018 and finishes on Friday 11 January 2019.
Books added to the website during this period will count towards unlocking the Mini Challenge rewards.
We'll also have a whole host of fun activities, quizzes and reading recommendations, plus an exciting new competition.
