Erin Morgenstern
In 1886, a mysterious travelling circus becomes an international sensation. Open only at night, Le Cirque des Reves delights all who wander its circular paths and warm themselves at its bonfire. Although there are acrobats, fortune-tellers and contortionists, the Circus of Dreams is no conventional spectacle.
Never before have I wanted the world in a story to be real more than that of The Night Circus! This is a story filled with illusion and mystery, a challenge of unfathomable intricacies, a world where magic and dreams become one. It took me a few chapters to understand the narrative but I am so glad I persevered! We meet several characters, each indifferent times, all connected to Les Cirque des Reves - The Circus of Dreams. Quickly you come to know the circus that arrives without warning and opens only at night. But there is so much more to discover than appears on the surface. I didn't want this book to end and am considering re-reading it again immediately. Immersed in this story I have walked the line between dreams and reality and have come to the conclusion that the true magic is that of storytelling itself.
