Quick Reads resources

Each year The Reading Agency produces a set of free downloadable resources to support practitioners using the books with their learners (see links below or to the right) and we have done the same for this year's titles. For 2011 we have created two learning resource packs: the Reading Support Pack and a Writing Pack. The Reading Support Pack contains ideas and advice on using the books with emergent readers, from pre-reading discussion topics through to writing activities. The Writing Pack is a series of blank templates that can be used with Quick Reads titles and other books, with worksheet activities such as creating and describing characters, using wider vocabulary and writing book reviews. All resources have been mapped to adult literacy curricula.

All practitioners supporting adults using the Quick Reads can sign-up to information about this year's books and campaign materials through the Quick Reads website.

We're always keen to receive your feedback on how you use these resources and any suggestions for improvement. Please contact Michelle Treagust if you have any comments or questions about these resources.
