The Reading Agency is seeking new Trustees with a passion for reading, and the positive impact that reading can have, to join our Board.
We are a national charity which tackles life's big challenges through the proven power of reading. We work closely with partners to develop and deliver programmes for people of all ages and backgrounds, from the Summer Reading Challenge for children to Reading Well and Quick Reads for adults.
Over the last year The Reading Agency reached over 1.9 million people across the UK, including more than 950,000 children and over 900,000 adults and young people.
We are keen to meet with candidates with the following skills to complement the skills of our existing Trustees:
- Education, at a strategic and delivery level
- Health, including Public Health
- Community engagement and outreach
We are committed to developing more inclusive representation in our Board of Trustees and we welcome applicants from under-represented backgrounds and locations across the UK. We welcome applications from people with no prior cultural or Board experience.
